HF 2 Video Review

bk-hf2-glock-swirl-pe-crop-4-pe.jpgThe HF2 Open Muzzle Design allows you to use several slide lengths in the same holster without catching the front sight on the draw. Best with ramp front sights. Usually for 1911's, Glocks and XD's.

The holster rides at a 13 degree forward cant angle on your belt.

***NOTE: We cannot make the HF1 or HF2 for .380 caliber pistols or small 9mm pistols such as the Sig P-938 or Ruger LC9.

We cannot scale it down that far. Ask if you're uncertain.

The HF2 combines the best features of two different designs. It rides like a pancake and stays open for life like a "tunnel and loop" design.

The visible overflap provides the front belt slot to bring the holster in close and keep it secure. The cant angle is perfect for most people and the holster comes ready to use with very little break in.

Retention is very good so no thumbreak is required unless it's just personal preference or department mandate.

The compact size wasn't designed for small pistols; it was designed to carry several lengths of the same pistol.

Mounting the HF-style Holster on the belt.

Note - HF1 vs. HF2:

The HF1 is made to the length of a specific pistol. It's still open at the bottom, but the holster tapers down to the opening and will not allow the muzzle through.

The HF2 is made for several lengths of the same pistol (usually 1911-style or 9mm/40 caliber Glocks). It is open and flared so the front sight doesn't catch when you draw the pistol.

Some customers just  like the look of the HF2 with the slide sticking out the bottom even though they do not have several lengths of the same pistol.

Both ride at the same height and cant angle.*

NOTE: Holster is pictured with extra cost options. ($105 buys a plain, unlined, unstamped HF2 without a concho.)

(Each full stamp includes its own border stamp. No need to order a border stamp with a full stamp.)

    A great holster

Posted by Mike, Macomb MI on 30th Oct 2016

I ordered the HF2 belt holster. I carry a full size or a commander carry 1911 and both fit perfectly in the HF2. Holds them tight yet a smooth draw.
The holster is top quality. Has a beautiful cut diamond pattern, tight stitching, custom cuts and shaped for my 1911s. I had great expectations and they were met. I am extremely happy with my holster.

This holster really caught my eye when I was investigating holsters for my .45 with quality foremost in mind. The holster did not disappoint. It is perfection. I am a retired deputy sheriff, and I asked Rob to use an old hat badge for a concho. It was the wrong size, but they made it work. I won't use this for open carry because I don't want anyone to mistake me for a currently commissioned deputy, so this work of art will be a secret pleasure. When I am flush again, it will be carried on a matching Tucker belt.

My wife and I received our two HF2 holsters and a double magazine holder just recently, we had very high expectations because of all reviews. When we opened the box my wife and I both were blown away by what we saw. I couldn't wait to try mine on, it was tight and and looked rely good. My wife loved hers but hers was so tight we had to fit it for a couple days also looks great on her now. Kudos to Rob and the entire staff at Tucker Gun Leather. I will be ordering another holster very soon.

It is a hit! Workmanship, material, ease of use, and just plain good looking,

Love the border stamp, gives it a very nice finishing touch.

And the Concho sets it apart from every other holster I have

    Top of the Line Holster

Posted by Frank on 9th Aug 2016

The quality of the leather, the craftsmanship, the attention to detail and the fit are truly exceptional. It holds my Government 1911 firmly and close to my body. The cant is perfect and I can draw my weapon smoothly. The wait was a little longer than advertised, but all is forgiven. Great product, Rob.

The Sig 227, which is still kind of hard to find holsters for, other then buying 226 holsters and 'making them fit', this holster fits my 227 like a glove.
I am a leatherworker, so, i love your craftsmanship!
Yes, well worth the price and wait for this fine holster.

    Quality Product made with Pride.

Posted by Horace Buster Phelps on 9th Jul 2016

Others have said it first but....I have to wholeheartedly concur. This holster was worth the wait. It is obvious that Rob takes pride in his holsters and magazine pouches. They are not only very well constructed but a beautiful work of art. I wanted a holster that added to the beauty of some of my rare and quality pistols.....and not detract from their appearance. Rob also went out of his way to correct a mistake that I made when I ordered the wrong engraving pattern on my magazine pouch.....that didn't match my previous holster order. If you want an average holster, they are everywhere online but, if you want the Best, Tucker Gun Leather is the right choice.
